Before you work or touch anything electrical inside your ANY APPLIANCE incl upright stove or oven etc, either (i) visit your Electrical Panel Box and switch the correct labeled circuit breakers to the OFF Position or (ii) if the appliance happens to have plug that connects to the electrical wall outlet, then you could simply pull/disconnect the plug so Bottomline the stove/oven is not able to turn on...

When the time comes to choose a generator, there are quite a number of possibilities for both the home owner and the business operator: so many, in fact, that it can be quite confusing to the uninitiated. What source of fuel would you rather use - diesel or petrol? Do you need a small "emergency" generator for the home, or one with plenty of power to act as a back up when the mains electricity is not working in your business? If you don't have much of an understanding of how generators work, it could be very hard for you to choose the best one for your needs.
How then, do you make a choice? To begin with, you should decide for what actual purpose you will need the generator, because with this knowledge you will be able to determine the capacity. If you require a generator for home use, it would not make sense to choose a heavy duty industrial generator, as it would provide more power than you require. As well, if you need to run machinery, a generator with a low output of power will not be enough as it is likely to fail when you need it most.
Both diesel and petrol generators provide power in similar ways. Diesel electrical generators are most often found in agricultural environments, on construction sites and in factories and warehouses: in reality, anywhere there is a need for a portable and reliable source of energy. This can be because there is no mains power (as with construction sites) or the mains power cannot be relied upon (agricultural areas and factories).
In determining your generator requirements, you should choose the most efficient model. The size of the honda generator is specified by the output and speed provided by the manufacturer: generally speaking, a more powerful generator has a higher output and speed. Most generators fall between an output of 5KVA (kilovolt-ampere units) and 2500KVA. If this is so, it makes sense to choose a silent diesel generator as the decibel level of these is much lower than traditional diesel generators. It is also a good idea to purchase a silent diesel generator with a big enough fuel tank, to ensure that it runs through the night, thereby avoiding refueling in the middle of the night. The decibel output is not such a critical aspect if it is used in an industrial situation, or during the day.
If you only need to use the generator occasionally, it makes sense to purchase a good quality used generator, as this will save you a good deal of money.
Having a generator at hand for emergency situations, such as natural disasters or power outages, or perhaps those times when there is no electricity supply available (camping is one such example) is a great idea. However, it pays to conduct some research and carefully choose a generator that best suits your individual requirements.
