Silver Rca Who manufactures the Comcast remote control?
I have a newer Comcast (silver topped)remote with the on demand button near the top and picture in picture controls on the bottom. Both Comcast & RCA are giving me the run around because the remote apparently will not control a RCA/ DVD combo. Now RCA is telling me to contact the maker of the remote and of course there is no identifing name on the remote. Customer service at both of these companies is useless.
You might want to go to http://www.oneforall.com and see if they have a remote that will control combo player. I have a Philips combo with a Magnavox TV and Comcast, and their 8017 model will control the player, the TV, the cable, and everything else. If this works for you, give the cable remote back to Comcast.
