Question about upgrading my computer chassis?
I currently have my custom built PC in an Antec NSK2480 desktop case. I'm thinking about upgrading to one of SilverStone's Sugo series cases. What I'm most hesitant about upgrading is the size of the CPU Fan/Heatsink installed and will if it will be accommodated; I have a Zalman CNPS 9000.
The case you currently have, has these dimensions...
Unit Dimensions:
- 13.97cm (H) x 44.5cm (W) x 41.4cm (D)
The SG01s dimensions are
26.3 cm (W) x 21.6 cm (H) x 39.3 cm (D)
but comes with the special note that
＊ CPU cooler cannot exceed 82mm in height
The SG02s dimensions are
27 cm (W) x 21.2 cm (H) x 39.3 cm (D)
and has the same restriction on CPU cooler height.
... you can see a pattern here.... right? I'm looking at the specifications of the cases... and there are 5 different cases in the Sugo series... you didn't mention which one, and they are different sizes. DO you know the actual height of your cooler? You are currently using that cooler in 14 cm of space, and each one of these cases is taller/wider than that. So your current internals should work within any of the Sugo cases.
