Cord Bose Why does the Bose Companion 5 use a USB cord and not the standard headphone jack?
I don't understand why Bose has done this, is it for improved audio performance? Why why why? It just confuses me that ALL computer speakers I have ever seen goes though the headphones jack.
i believe it's to get 5.1 simulation from the computer in case the sound card doesn't support it. But the Bose companion 5 does also have a regular 3.5mm input.
