Speaker Wall What is the most important thing to look for in an in-wall speaker in order to get the best sound?
What brands have a good reputation as making a quality in-wall speaker?
I believe there are no boundaries as to which speakers you choose for in wall reproduction. In wall is probably not the best way to appreciate music or sound but the more expensive the speaker the better the reproduction. There are limitations however, as a rule speakers require some form of back loading (an amount of cavity behind the speakers) in order to produce bass frequencies. If no cavity is present there will be little or no bass produced by the speakers no matter what price you pay. You could use in wall speakers in conjunction with a Powered Sub Woofer which could compensate for the lack of sound below about 150Hz or so but then we introduce more expense into the equation..
