Why not put a double trigger, like a paintball gun, on a semi auto rifle?
I'm thinking about doing this to an Ak-47 because of the simple trigger mechanism but I'm wondering what the cons of this idea are because I haven't been able to think of any yet. So try and talk me out of it...
Someone has already told me it would be hard to handle but I'm a fairly decent shooter so I know I can handle the gun in rapid fire so any problems you see let me know.
The biggest problem,not counting the HUGE safety issue,is that you will have to shorten the trigger reset length, if you can do this yourself,then great, I wouldn't think the amount of shortening would be possible considering the trigger mechanism design. Of course, you would also have to have a rebound spring that would allow your fingers to "dance" on the trigger.
I think that the fine tuning that would have to be done, if it would be possible would make the rifle unreliable and prone to breakage. I would suggest just having a good trigger job, if this doesn't let you burn ammo quick enough, then just get a class 3, problem solved!
