Professional Cassette
What is considered "acceptable" sound quality for recordings?
I find it crazy that the Beatles recorded some of the greatest pop music on what people today would consider archaic tape recorders.
If a songwriter truly had talent, would he/she be able to land a record deal with a 4-track cassette recorder? It seems that standards seem so high now with affordable CD quality recording that people expect that their music sound professional. Only to give up when they realize how hard it is to produce at that level.
"what people today would consider archaic tape recorders"
Maybe some, but you realize that terribly archaic equipment was hand built by craftsmen, who took pride in their work. I suggest you take a long hard look at what audiophiles run you might learn something.
BTW: I don't accept "CD quality" acceptable.
Dirt and humidity in your camcorder is the major cause of
- Pircture and color loss
- White streaks
- Damaged tapes
