Can you charge any device with Mini-B USB receptacle from any charger with Mini-B USB plug?
I've got several devices that have mini-USB receptacles - mobile phone, headsets, media player. Is it safe to charge them from any charger with a Mini-B USB plug (e.g. AC adapter, car charger, computer USB port? Would the voltage, polarity, and amps be right?
USB provides only +5V at about 100 milliAmps max.
i.e. +5V @ 100 mA
The polarity of the USB plug and receptical is standard.
Any USB device that is designed to be charged from the USB port can be charged by any USB charger.
It doesn't matter if it is mini-B or larger USB plug -- it will still provide +5V @ about 100mA max. and the USB device will convert it to the proper voltage to charge its batteries.
