Help with a battery powered smoke alarm?
The smoke detector in my bedroom beeped a few times and then went into one long, loud noise. There was no smoke, steam, etc. and the alarm looks clean (no dust, debris).
I've heard about unplugging it and whatnot, but this one is battery powered and has no wires or anything. It just hangs on the wall.
I can't get it to stop and can't figure out how to get the batteries out. Please help!
I have it off the wall, but the back is just smooth and flat, no "door" to open for the batteries.
Half a twist counter clockwise to unlock it, then pull it off the wall.
Change the battery.
