I got a new Laptop. How do I get my music from my iPod onto the new machine?
What are my options?
I bought most of the songs from apple through iTunes, but iTunes says songs can only be downloaded once.
You don't need no stinkin' programs.
1. Go to your "My Computer" and open it up.
2. Go to Tools, Folder Options, View, and select "Show hidden files."
3. Connect your iPod to your computer. When the iPod icon appears in the iTunes window (under Devices), select it.
If the Summary pane is not showing, click the Summary tab.
Select "Manually manage music." (If you have an iPod that displays video, the checkbox says "Manually manage music and video.")
4. Now go back to "My Computer," and open your ipod.
5. Your music files are located in "iPod Control". Your songs will be in folders F01 - F20, depending on how many songs you have. Each song will be a 4 letters, i.e., KZVL, instead of actaul song names. Copy those songs to your hard drive, then import them (drag them) into iTunes.
