Amplifier Tuner I'm buying my son an electric guitar. Can I use an old home stereo tuner/amplifier and speaker(s) for an amp?
Yes you defeitnly can, and this would be great for a learner who dosent need to have the great sound of a guitar amp and just need somthing so he can hear what he is playing. I was thinking about doing this when I was thinking about buying a bass so I went into a music store and asked the guy this question he said yes you can but an actull amp will be better quality sound. Never did buy the bass sort of lost intrest so I dont know the sound quality but a professinol told me I could.
