Does the Universal Ipod Dock from Apple charge your Ipod while its plugged in to the TV/Stereo? Is the Ipod Dock any good? Is it worth buying?
It depends on the cable that's hooked up to the dock, which is sold separately. If the cable is attached to AC power in addition to having stereo/TV out, it will charge your iPod. If it ONLY has stereo/TV out, it will not.
The Apple-manufactured composite out cables, for example, will both charge your iPod and keep it connected to your TV:
If you have those cables (or something similar) connected to the dock, you'll charge at the same time as you're outputting a signal.
As far as if the dock is good, it certainly is, and is kind of cool if you buy the one that comes with the Apple Remote, however, like many Apple products, it's a little spendy.
