What's a good speaker system for an Ipod?
I want a good speaker system for my Ipod. I want it to have pretty good sound and easy navigation. It doesn't have to have an alarm clock but that would be a plus. I dont want to spend too much money. At the most $75-$100. I like how the IHome looks. Are those good systems?
Well, if you just want very good speakers for a great deal, then get the JBL On Stage II or JBL On Stage Micro. They sell on eBay from the manufacturer (Harman/Kardon) refurbished for about $30. They come in all the colors of the Ipod. I have these two models and a bigger dome type called Radial High. They all work and sound great! The JBL On Stage II sold new in stores for more than $150. They all hook to your computer for Itunes Sync. The JBL On Stage Micro even takes batteries.
Oh ya, they also make a clock radio one called, On Time. I don't have one, but they too can be bought on ebay. Check them out.

As we all know, Apple introduced an all-round device called – iPod Touch. The iPod Touch allows you to have a fully functional iPod, pocket computer and an amazing gaming platform combined together! This device brought Multi-Touch, Accelerometer and Wi-Fi functions to market of handheld devices. It was the first iPod with wireless access to iTunes and the Application store, so users could download new content directly to their iPods. In general, third generations brought faster hardware – as well as an improved microprocessor, graphic engine and RAM memory with new functions like Voice Over and bundled earphones with a remote and microphone.
Changes to the New iPod
All things considered, the screen of the Third Generation iPod Touch is identical to previous generations. This means that screen is made of glass, with a size of 3.5 inches and a screen resolution of 480x320 with an aspect ratio of 3:2. Although old iPod could be upgraded so that software could match the new one, third generation iPod Touch comes with a 3.1 version of Operating System.
The iPod Touch's CPU has largely improved since the 1st generation, which was initially 400 MHz up to 600 MHz in 3rd generation. Alongside this, the GPU has also improved. We can see an increase in RAM power from 128 MB to 256 MB in new iPods. Wi-Fi features, Size, Weight, Battery life and Audio speaker, are all identical to previous iPod generations.
Newest generation comes with 32GB and 64GB of storage, so actually you can store up to 14,000 songs. You can control the audio playback with new feature called "Voice Over". You can literally speak with your device. You can order the iPod Touch to play all songs from a certain artist, and you can ask the device which song is playing. You can order your iPod to shuffle, play the next song or to pause. Voice Control works perfectly in 16 different languages.
There is also improvement to the Genius function. Now users have to ability to use "Genius Mix". Before, you could turn on your Genius and it could make a playlist of songs that you might like and it could provide you with recommendations for purchasing from iTunes Store. Now, if you sync your iPod Touch to iTunes, Genius will search your library and find songs that "match each other". This mixes are based entirely on music that you already own, which is different from previous versions of this feature. Considering the music, with iPod Operating System version 3.1 you could use advanced wireless earphones with Bluetooth connectivity.
Generally speaking the biggest leap ahead for this iPod is its speed. It has an upgraded internal component which will result in a faster and more responsive iPod. It also has a new graphic engine which will result in more astonishing games. There are currently more that 20,000 games available for purchase from iTunes Store, but you can expect the most amazing games are yet to come! Combination of advanced hardware features with a new engine will make this iPod a very competitive gaming device. Soon you will play games that will launch in split of a second with richer textures and details.
