How likely is it we can get a Big 3 in the Apple?
Even if we have to give away Gallo, Anthony Randolph, and expiring contract of Eddy Curry and 1 or 2 future first round pick it is still worth it to snab the best point guard in the league.
Also it is still possible Carmello does not resign in Denver, Billups is 34, Kenyon Martin is close to being out the league, and the Nuggets frontline won't have enough to match with the Lakers frontline so I won't be surprised if Carmello goes to New York.
Very unlikely, especially if the NBA imposes a hard cap. There's a very good chance that there'll be a lockout for the 2011-12 season, and a hard cap could be imposed to block teams from signing multiple stars (Heat) and force teams like the Lakers and Heat to split up their power-house, high-payroll rosters.
Unless Melo willing to sign with the Knicks with a $2 mil per year salary, it's probably not going to happen.
