Bravia Theater can I have an additional soundcard for a hp laptop attached by hdmi to sony bravia lcd and home theater?
ok folks heres the deal. I have a hp laptop which is hooked through hdmi cable to my sony bravia lcd and home theatre. i was looking for ways to upgrade the sound system cause i am not exactly happy about the quality of sound from the comp. so one of my nerd friends suggested an additional sound card for the comp and advised me to disable the onboard sound card of the laptop and to process the sound from the new card whereafter it would go to the home theatre and opined that it would make a world of difference. Before I took the leap, i thought i should bounce the idea on the experts here...hope you guys can help. oh...by the way any suggession on the sound card for the lap top would also be great.
