Has anyone built a PlayGround/ SwingSet from a DIY kit?
If so how much did you save versus buying a regular one?
How easy was it to do ?
My hubby has carpentry skills, he built houses for a few years.
I also asked this in the DIY section, but I figured the mommys could give me some good answers. Thanks!
We didn't do ours with a DIY kit, we just bought the wood/hardware and then bought the swings separately. We saved LOADS of money doing it this way, I think as much as 50% on it! It's really durable too. It was built 15 years ago as a 4th birthday present for my sister and 2nd birthday present for me, and it's still up and is still usable. However, we do have to take it down/move it as the big tree that it sits under needs to be cut down (it's a 45 foot tall, 65 year old maple tree that was planted when the house was built back in 1943) because 3 large limbs crashed down in a tornado two weeks ago.
