I have to make a digital narrative about the poem Richard Cory by Edwin Arlington Robinson. It has to be like a mini movie in wich I have to expose one or more than one problem that kids go through today. What can I do it about?
Here is the poem:
Whenever Richard Cory went down town,
We people on the pavement looked at him:
He was a gentleman from sole to crown,
Clean favored, and imperially slim.
And he was always quietly arrayed,
And he was always human when he talked;
But still he fluttered pulses when he said,
"Good-morning," and he glittered when he walked.
And he was rich—yes, richer than a king—
And admirably schooled in every grace:
In fine, we thought that he was everything
To make us wish that we were in his place.
So on we worked, and waited for the light,
And went without the meat, and cursed the bread;
And Richard Cory, one calm summer night,
Went home and put a bullet through his head.
Why don't you do a digital slide show. As the poem is being read in a voice-over, present a slideshow starring a guy who's the big man on campus.... Star athlete, class president, etc.
Show him in moments of having a good time, visiting with friends, flirting with girls. Throw in a slide or two where when the others aren't looking and he has a serious, depressed sort of expression. The final slide could be of a girl putting a flower at some memorial with his class picture in the center.
