What floor is the best type of flooring for a gym at home? Are Rubber mats in the best way to make, or perhaps Interlocking Tiles - or perhaps rolled rubber flooring? Today, many options are there on the market. Here is a brief overview of some of the most popular home gym flooring products on the market with a discussion of some of the advantages and disadvantages.
Rubber mats
Rubber mats was originally designed for the livestock industry (horses, cows, etc.) to help protect animals from the cold ground and slips and falls. Accordingly, these Rubber mats are very durable - after all - they are required to withstand the abuse of 1000 pounds, the animals as they pedal their strong hooves.
Rubber mats generally composed of a dense rubber is 3 / 8 ", 1 / 2" or 3 / 4 "thick. These mats are black in color. Rubber mats for the weight room are also available in gauges fine, but their uses are usually by machines. If you plan to use free weights with very heavy loads to racks or squat free weight drop zones, it is recommended that 3 / 4 "thick mats be used. The price differential is not that great between the 1 / 2 "and 3 / 4" so it is better to go with the increase in weight of goods.
Whatever the thickness of the matting, you go; you want May to stay away from mats that consist of 100% recycled rubber. They tend to emit an odor which is quite strong - especially in an enclosed space like a gym. If carpets are in place in a garage with lots of ventilation, May you are able to use the mats with a high concentration of recycled rubber and save a few dollars.
Rolls of rubber flooring
Rolls of rubber flooring offers the possibility to cover large areas quickly. The rolls are usually 4 'wide and can come in lengths of 70' or 80 '. Rolls of rubber flooring is available in 1 / 8 ", 1 / 4", 5 / 16 ", 3 / 8" and 1 / 2 "thick. In a word, the thinner matting size should be stuck to help prevent tearing. These mats are perfect for rooms where you need a durable product, but want to dress up.
The color of the spots really the aesthetics of the room. Another feature of use of rubber flooring laminates is that the seams are almost invisible. And it is easy to cut out any damaged floors and replaced by a new piece. The color of the spots really hides the seams. In May, you have assumed heavy goods up to the rigors of dumb bells, free weights and abuses associated with weight rooms.
Interlocking Tiles
Interlocking Tiles are made from a rubber material with a color speckles. The interlocking tiles are cut from rubber flooring rolled like puzzle pieces. These tiles are generally interdependent 3 / 8 "or 1 / 2" thick. One of the best reasons to use a tile is that it is easier to install, pick up and move, etc. And if part of the soil is damaged, you can simply remove the tile or tiles that are damaged and replace them with new tiles, rather than ordering an entire floor. The tiles are available in black, but it is generally recommended to use spot color in a 10% or 20% mix to hide fingerprints and dirt. Solid flooring black white really shows dirt like chalk hand, foot prints, teddy bears, etc.
