Horn Tweeter On a bass cab/speaker, what is a horn and a tweeter?
I dont know what a horn or a tweeter is on a bass cab. I know the horn is that little thing you can see through the grill but i dont know what it does. please help!
You really need to provide a more detailed question and maybe the reason for asking to get a good answer. I'm not really sure where you are trying to go with this question. However, typically a horn is nothing more than an enclosure type, usually associated with tweeters. It is so names because it looks like a horn. It focuses teh sound in a particular direction, increasing its efficiency, but reducing its dispersion range ( think of a horn as a rifle and a regular cone speaker as a shotgun). Horns are typically used when the audience is going to be in a known and designated location, such as in a concert where the speakers are all in the front and faced directly at the crowd. People to the sides will not hear nearly as much volume. That is basically it....... not sure what you were getting at but hope that helps.
