Kit Jbl Can I use small 1" tweeters as auxiliary speakers for my bluetooth car kit?
The aux speaker that my kit came with is large, and I wanted a much more stealth install. Here are the specs on a typical tweeter set that I'm looking at:
I know these speakers are probably overkill for my purpose, but I'm just using this as an example. I won't need an amp to hear the call output loud and clear, will I?
I have a college buddy who tried something really similar to that, but the tweeters were not clear with voice communication. He ended up getting 2 3" speakers that he mounted on the dashboard. He used Vinyl that matched the color of the dashboard and it blended in real well. Again, the tweeter will have a real high decimal that will interfere with communication. That was his problem.
Like he said below it is also possible to go through your stock speakers in your vehicle. My dad set his hummer up that way with his bluetooth system.
