Lifestyle Acoustimass Bose Acoustimass® 16 Series II or Bose lifestyle 28 w/ jewel cubes? ?
I've got a lifestyle 28 system w/ the jewel cubes, and a relative just passed away and left me his receiver and Acoustimass 16 Series II.
Which one would I get the best sound from for a spacious livingroom. The acstmss. has a newer sub, but different cubes, not the tiny jewels, although there are 6 speakers with the 16 while my lifestyle only has 5. All help is welcome, please no Bose bashers.......
When it comes to sound quality Benny is right. Sound is subjective and the systems are very similar anyway. I will say however that there are other factors involved. If your receiver is a good one then you may want the additional features it may have. HDMI upconverting or dual zone capability may be nice if it has them. The 6th speaker may be nice if the receiver has dts-es or better yet HD audio. If however you want a system that is very easy to use then the lifestyle 28 should fit the bill.
