The MDT 39 is a super high quality tweeter of small dimensions (the faceplate measures only 2-1/8" x 2-1/8")! This is achieved by use of an ultralight, powerful neodymium magnet coupled to a rear chamber for low resonance.
An updated and more cost effective version of the famous MDT-29 and MDT-33, the CAT298 also features a treated 1-1/8" soft dome, ferrofluid cooling, and aluminum voice coil.
By adding a rear chamber to the MDT-12, a lower resonance point and superior low-frequency performance are achieved. The tweeter has a very rich and full sound, and can easily accommodate crossover points as low as 2k, making it work great with most woofers.
