Pro Audio
How do you record the audio output of a MacBook Pro in highest quality?
I have a software drum machine that I'm programming beats in, but the program has no way of exporting the beat as a Wav, AIFF, etc.
It sounds perfect when I play it in the program and when I listen over headphones. Is there any way I can just play the beat and record my MacBook Pro's audio output as a high quality audio file that would work in Garageband?
If anyone has any ideas, it would be much appreciated.
I'm looking to record the audio output and have it as a high quality audio file on my computer to use in GarageBand.
I suggest you download and use Audacity. It's open source and free.

Electric guitar or acoustic guitar is a basic choice you need to make before you sign up for an initial guitar course. It is essential to choose the option that is better for you.
A classical guitar stands for the same instrument as an acoustic guitar. A large wooden body and strings made out of nylon are typical for this type of guitar. If you need an amplifier or you can forget to hear sound and the strings are made out of metal than you are holding an electric guitar. The basic skills are the same for both instrument types. If you play electrical guitar, than you also master the acoustic guitar because the methods, skills, and principles are identical.
Aspiring guitarists should however still make a choice between both variants because both guitar types have pro's and con's. Rock music definitely favors the electrical version. If you are the guy who likes to strum along with acoustic audio that is playing than an acoustic guitar is the instrument of choice. Carefully consider towards what type of music you are leaning. That aspect is what makes all the difference.
Not just the type of music needs to be a considered when you make your choice. There are some other differences that can change your mind. The expenses related to the electrical version are considerably higher because of the extra things that are needed and also the actual instrument is more expensive.
Without amplifier there is simply no sound. Guitar cables are also a necessity with the electrical guitar. A prominent advantage of this electrical guitar is that your fingers will be in better shape. With a classical guitar there is a necessity to press harder on those guitar strings and hurting fingers is often a reality.
Some beginning guitarists are easily confused however with some extra buttons and also knobs found on an electrical guitar. The size and shape of an electrical guitar is than again more practical for beginning guitar players. Its neck and also the body are considerably more manageable to many. If money is tight the acoustic or classical guitar is definitely the instrument of choice.
You can bring the acoustic guitar with you anywhere you go. An acoustic guitar stands for ambience when pick-nicking with friends or relatives. The park, the beach, the bus, etc. it is hard to imagine any place where the acoustic guitar cannot come along.
The pro's and con's need to be mentioned of both instruments and choosing the right instrument based on just these aspects is not the most realistic choice. It is indeed the choice of music that should make you come to a decision. Rock music can be associated more with the electrical guitar and acoustic music with the classical instrument choice.
