Realistic minimus-26? how do i hook it up?

I have pair of really old Realistic Minimus-26 speakers they have like a weird pull down black and red thing...and when u pull it down 2 holes appear....i dont understand how to hook this up? do i need special wires or sumthing? HELP PLEASEE!!!!

What Character Modeler said plus two things:

Be sure that no bare copper from one side of the wire touches copper from the other side. This can hurt your receiver.

Also be sure that the sides of the wire that connect to the colors are connected to the corresponding colors on the receiver In other words, red to red and black to black). The speakers won't sound right otherwise.

BTW, those connections are called "spring clips."
