How do i deaden the sound of a one piece fiberglass shower caused by the gap between the wall and greenboard?
The gap between the fiberglass wall and greenboard is between 1-2 inches. When i take a shower i know it will create alot of noise. What can i do to eliminate this sound? I have not installed the shower yet.
The shower walls are designed to go against the faming and the dry wall sheathing to go over the flange and butt the edge of the panel. You should frame in both sides to the size of the shower, and then drywall to the panels. you can use some sound insulation between the wall and panel also. use non faced would be best.
