Speaker Surround Hiding surround sound speaker wire along baseboard?
I have plaster walls and hardly a crawlspace. I plan to run my speaker wires along the baseboards. What is the best type of paint to use on the wires to match the baseboard and what is the best way to attach them without destroying anything?
Wal-Mart, Target, Home Depot, etc all carry cable hooks which have their own brads (very small nails) to anchor wires without dammaging baseboards. Very inexpensive, maybe $3 or so for a dozen. I wouldn't even bother painting the wires as they don't stand out. But if you must, the wire coating isn't especially delicate. Use a can of spray paint from the usual hardware section that roughly matches your baseboard color.
