What do I download to get my speakers to work?
I reformatted my computer and so I've been told that I need a new driver for my speakers to work but I don't really know what to download. I tried using driver search programs but they all failed. I have Altec Lansing Speakers model VS2320. It's been a few weeks since my sound worked. Please help.
Speakers don't need drivers, but soundcards do. That is probably what the person meant.
Hold down the windows key and tap Pause/break once. The system properties window pops up. Click the Hardware Tab. Click Device Manager. Open the + beside, "Sound, video and game controllers". In that list should be your soundcard, It will probably have a Yellow ! (exclaimation mark) on it.
Note the make of the card and go searching for that brand and model of sound cards driver. Download. Install. reboot...
**edit** Must I repeat myself, speakers do not need drivers. So for someone to suggest you visit the manufacturers site for drivers is insane. The only thing you may get from their website, is 3rd party software or trial software that may of come with the speaker, but speakers don't need software drivers. Thats as insane as saying you need a driver to plug in your headphones to your iPod.

How To Write A Press Release
Press releases are announcements of news-worthy events, and should be written in the third person. You may want to announce the launch of your new business, your website, your blog, or any event that may be related to your business. Use quotes in your press release, as if you were being interviewed. Keep press releases short and to the point (around 400 or 500 words). As I mention in most of my other content, do not over-hype yourself or your business or make outrageous claims. First, if you do so your press release will likely not get accepted anywhere you submit it, and second it will sound like spam like so much of the other stuff out there.
Rather than just trying to describe how to write a press release, I've decided it would be helpful to include an actual sample press release. Below (in italics) is a press release I wrote to announce my business.
