Theater Subwoofer how to fix home theater subwoofer surround?
i have recently acquired a infinity home theater system that includes two small back speakers and the surround around the cone as completely come apart and the same goes for the subwoofer....i need a very cheap way to fix this if possible...
There is no cheap fix. If there was, you'd still have a cheap speaker. Many "systems" are the worst offenders to my ear. The contracted parts they get, from China most likely, are the most substandard parts I have ever seen. They have to be cheap or no one will buy them. The mark up in those systems is unbelievable. You got what you paid for. As far as I am concerned, you need to replace the entire system with a decent quality matched speaker set. Personally, I have not heard a system that was good to me that didn't cost less than $2K. The problem that many people make is either they get good speakers & a cheap receiver/amp or bad speakers & too powerful of an amp. That will always destroy one or the other. My recommendation, and I say this from experience in what I have, is to get a Yamaha RX-V863 receiver, and Polk Audio RTi series speakers. I have something similar to what I linked you, but for a smaller room. If you got that route, you will get satisfaction from your surround. Be prepared to drop about $3K.
