Is it worth the price for "high performance" digital camera memory?
I know the main advantage is higher speed between photos. But is it really worth it to buy high performance memory for my digital camera?
If you are shooting anything that requires you to shoot 20-30 rapid fire images AND you have a camera that will support such bursts of shots, then yes. The only camera I use that it would matter is the Nikon D2h. It really can crank out the images.
I shoot editorial, sports and glamour; thus far I have seen no need to pay more for "high performance" memory cards. This said, I do own five or six of them, but only because they were on sale and cost the same or less than standard cards.
