Garden Speaker I want to connect 2 sets of speakers to the same output on the back of my amp?
i want to put a second set of speakers outside in the garden but i only have space for 1 set of speakers on my amp. will 2 sets of speakers blow my amp? or damage my speakers?
My amp can handle 6 - 16 ohms and the one set of speakers i have already is 8 ohm.
It depends on the specs of your amp and the impedance of your speakers. If you take (2) 8 ohm speakers and wire them in parallel, your amp effectively "sees" 4 ohms. That will drive the amp harder and it may not like that kind of load. Check the manual for the ratings. You could get an autoformer based speaker switcher or Volume control unit to help you match the impedances.
