Stereo Turntable I just bought a turntable, Ihave a stereo but it doesn't have a phono input. Can I just plug speakers?
straigh into it somehow as all I'm using it for is to just play vinyls. Alternatively, I wouldn't mind if it was just headphones. Could I just plug in a pair of headphones, like DJ ones. I'm new to turntables and don't know much. Any help with how they're set up? Thanks.
Electronics stores once carried a preamplifier to amplify the phono output of the turntable to the aux or line level inputs (1 volt peak to peak) of component stereos. There were two varieties or sometimes both came in the same little box. The one for ceramic pickups and the one for magnetic pickups.
