Pioneer Vsx hi, can someone share ideas if the pioneer vsx-5000 can be hook up with cable tv. thanks?
thanks, i did connect the tv cable to the the receiver catv input. but i hear or see anything. what selection do i need to select?
Just connect the "audio out" plugs (should be a red and a white) from your cable box to the receiver. Whatever audio input you use on the receiver (cd, tv, ect..) is what you'll switch it to when you want to hear the tv sound. I don't really see a need to run the video through your receiver, so just keep that hooked up straight to your TV from your cable box.
