Record Turntable Is it possible to have a turntable (record player) hooked up to my PC?
I want to play Vinyl in my study but I would like to avoid having to buy an amplifer and speakers. Is there a way of just hooking a decent turntable up to my pc and using the PC speaker (They are decent speakers)
I am told that there is some sort of sound card that you can get for your computer that is specifically designed to be a turntable input/ computer inter-phase (if I said that right). Anyway, it is intended to allow you to transfer your vinyl collection to CD or DVD. I think that it also allows you to listen to records on the computer, which is what you want to do, if I am reading your question correctly. I have not tried one of these, but I am told that such a device exist. Check with some computer stores on this to see if this is so. Let us know what you find out, because this is interesting.
