Neil Diamond
Can you you write a story about love on the rocks using these Neil Diamond song titles?
1) First you have to say you love me.
2) You played the field, I played the fool.
3) Home is a wounded heart.
4) Aint no way.
5) Amazed and confused.
6) I've never been the same
Clarification:
I did not really mean "can you" as in "are you able to" but more "would you like to" as an exercise in creativity that also might release tension or take you to another place other than where you now sit! It feels good to create something sensible or funny or exciting out of nothing using your own imagination!! Obviously, all stories would be original, that goes without saying!!

"Love On The Rocks"
Do you all remember my character from many stories ago that I refer to as Silva, the Vixen From Vermont? Well guess what? She has returned to Dodge....This time with one of her friends.......Nancy, the Nutter From Nebraska.
They caused quite a stir the day they arrived in Dodge : http://www.greekhelsinki.gr/bhr/english/special_issues/rom_linguist/photo1.jpg
Matt was in his office when he heard the commotion on Front street. When he went outside to see what was going on, he stopped dead in his tracks! "Oh,no!! The Trollops From Tulsa," he exclaimed! He started to walk away. He remembered how Silva had behaved toward him in the past. ....Best to just leave.
Silva: "Marshal Dillon!! (4) Aint no way you're leaving here until I get a chance to talk with you!" Matt tried to be polite. He asked how she'd been....Hoped that she was enjoying good health....You know...The usual pratter when you have nothing else to say.
Matt:"Well, nice seeing you again."
Silva:" I'll leave you be.....For NOW....Under one condition.
(1) First you have to say you love me, you handsome man, you!!"
Across the street, Miss Kitty, Matt's former girlfriend, was observing all of this from the LongBranch, the saloon that she owned and managed. Still trying to recover from losing Matt to Sunshine MacGillicutty, she found this moment of amusement a bit of a respite. She had spent so many days aching as she watched Matt and Sunshine galavanting all over the place.
Kitty:" This day is looking better and better," she laughed to herself. "Just wait until "Ol' Sunny Side Up" gets a load of THIS!! I wonder how she'll handle these two lunatics?!"
She watched Silva and Nancy try to corner Matt. Had she still been his lady, she would have run over and grabbed hold of him.....Let them know he was HERS!
Kitty mused quietly: " You'll just have to handle this yourself, Marshal Dillon. (2) You played the field, I played the fool. What goes around, comes around. Ye shall reap what ye soweth.......Awwwwww......." She couldn't think of another euphemism so she decided to take another gulp from her trusty bottle of Randy Scouse Git Rotgut....Her drink of choice.
Silva:" Oh, Marshal, ever since you hooked up with that girl from Virginia....What's her name, again?......."Sundown Mac- Idiot," (6) I've never been the same." She tried to rub up against him. A crowd was beginning to gather. (5) Amazed and confused, they watched as their Marshal did his best to free himself of the situation.
As if Silva wasn't handful enough, Nancy finally broke her silence......
" Listen Dillon. Silva's been jabbering about you for the past 2 months. You ain't leaving until she SAYS you're leaving: http://www.carriehoffman.com/Old-woman.jpg
Along about this time, Sunshine MacGillicutty rode into town.
She took one look at what was going on, and strolled over.
Matt: "What a sight for sore eyes YOU are. Ummmm....Why are you wearing a mask?"
Sunshine:"I dunno......Just felt like it, babe." Just then a large rat came out from under the boardwalk. She took aim and fired.
Silva and Nancy were taken aback from all this.
Nancy: "Who IS this masked woman?!"
Sunshine: "Name's Sunshine MacGillicutty. Matt's woman........And he's my man."

Kitty was observing all of this......"Damn it. She gets to look heroic, again!" Sam The Bartender peeked out the door to see what was going on. He observed his boss, Miss Kitty.
Kitty spoke....." I have no home, Sam. I have no.....home." She dropped her head to her chest.
Sam:"Yes you do, Miss Kitty." He tried comforting her.
Kitty:" (3) Home is a wounded heart, Sam.......And my heart is broken."
