Recorder Player
How can I kill and remove roaches from inside a dvd/vcr recorder/player without damaging it?
It's a relatively new recorder I took as a trade for a rare plant, but didn't realize it was infested with roaches until this evening when I turned the lights on. I zipped it inside a clear vinyl comforter bag to keep the roaches from escaping into the rest of the house. At this point I'm not even sure the recorder works, but would like to have it work once I'm rid of the vermin. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
Assuming there aren't breeding inside the circuits...you may try removing the screws from the back or bottom of the recorder and opening the case outside.
Grab a can of compressed air or a vacuum cleaner with a blower feature and blow out any roaches that you can see.
If you can only barely get the case open, you may need to use a flashlight while you work.
I'm not as sure about the others' approach with bug spray. Outside chemicals should never touch electronic parts...
