first off, go for it if you really want it.
also look into other piercings.
but all piercings have their risks
make sure you check the cleanliness of the place, piercer and tools.
tools should be taken out in front of you and piercer should wear gloves and a mask.
things you should know before getting piercings:
body can reject the piercing/metal
may be harder to get jobs
they could get infected
they could get ripped out
you shouldnt go swimming until they are healed.
cleaning them sucks when they are sore
keeping up with them, getting them to heal, and keeping them clean is alot of work
they could migrate (not sure what would cause this, so you should look it up)
you might be restricted on what you can do for a while (i.e tongue, cant open mouth kiss or drink beer)
could leave scars
but i had no pain in either of my piercings as the needle was being shoved through my body. the worst part was after i got my tongue, it swelled up and got sore but other than that its all good. and eyebrow didnt hurt at all, i literally felt nothing and i am the BIGGEST baby in the world.
dont take anyone's "opinion" on here too seriously. people will say they look dumb or piercings are gross and stupid. but they are just a bunch of haters. so do whatever you feel you should/want to do. go talk to a piercer they will tell you everything you need to know
other things you should think about:
do you have allergies? a cold? swine flu? sneezing and blowing nose would probably suck with septum
is there a rule about piercings at your school?
other people will talk about it, in good ways and bad, can you deal with that?
do you play sports? its kinda dangerous to play sports with a piercing and if you play for your school they most likely have rules about piercings.
