As mentioned, I need a needle for a Sony PS-LX311. Is it possible to use a different needle for it?
Generally, no, unless you find an OEM cross ereplacement that it shares with something else. On another note, people generally chuck the whole cartridge. Why? Because buying a whole cartridge doesn't usually cost more than a bare needle, not to mention that carts do wear out. Plus, if it's the stock cartridge, you can do MUCH better in the aftermarket with any 40$ and up 1/2" headshell or P-mount cart. Yours looks to be the more common 1/2"
