Recorder Turntable i have a sony rcd-w500c that i was told would act in place of a receiver. is this possible?
i got the rcd-w500c 5 disc changer-recorder for christmas along with a turntable, and i was told that i could hook the turntable into the cd player instead of hooking it into a separate receiver. my dad got me this present and said that he spent lots of time at best buy talking with the staff and making sure that he got the right components, but so far i just can't do it. any help? am i spinning my wheels? do i have to go buy a receiver?
first off, never go to best buy for advice. there idiots. second the rcd-w500c is a cd player not a reciever. it has no amplification capabilities so it will not work as a reciever
you will need to purchase a reciever. and as far as cd recorders go, it is not a very good one. very low rated as much of sonys home theater line is, except for some of there es line.
