Speed Stereo Can't hear bass drum well when using Vic Firth Isolation stereo headphones?
I have Vic Firth Isolation headphones an when i use them to practice the drums i can hear all my drums well and still hear the music, just my bass drum isn't clear.
I play double bass and when i'm playing continuos bass drum hits it gets blurred and i can't tell if I'm even playing at the right speed because it is very blurry and hard to hear.
Is there any way to fix this? such as the bass drum sound needs to be higher or lower or something?
I am guessing you have pillows in your bass drum? Take them out, and if you must use muffling just use small rolled up towels and tape them to the inside of your kicks, so that the towels are just touching the front and back heads. Pitch the batter head just tight enough to get rid of the wrinkles, and the front head a snuch tighter than that. If you can't hear them then, don't know what to tell you.
