Turntable Usb Ion USB Turntable stylus replacement? HELP PLEASE!?
I just broke the needle from my Ion USB Turntable, actually boyfriend's . They say I need an Ion Audio ICT04 Replacement Cartridge, but that will take 2 weeks at least!
Anyone know of any other stylus (please specify brand and model) I can buy that will be compatible with the ION USB turntable? Easy and fast 10 points.
If you have an Ion Audio ICT04 cartridge and you just broke the tip off the stylus, you don't need a whole new cartridge, just a replacement stylus.
The replacement stylus is ICT04RS. You could probably find a seller on eBay or another web retailer who could have one to you in a few days.
You could also replace the whole cartridge with any other standard 1/2" mount cartridge you choose. Since the cartridge is a conical DJ cartridge, you could probably find something similar at a music store that sells DJ gear. A Stanton 500 V3 would be very similar, but pricier than the Ion cartridge. The cartridge could also be upgraded with a cartridge designed more for hi-fi use that has an elliptical shaped stylus and sounds a little cleaner. Something like an Audio Technica AT95e... But, then you'd be shopping online and waiting again because hi-fi cartridges are hard to come by in a local store these days.
